Al Hartman grew up in the Bay Area, so it’s not surprising to learn that he’s a huge fan of Bay Area sports; particularly basketball, football, and baseball. Ever since he can remember, he’s been a fan of the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers. His childhood memories are filled with live games he watched with his father and the entire family (cousins, uncles, and his father’s best friends included) sitting on the living room couch rooting for their favorite teams. Al Hartman and his dad would also watch reruns of games during the off-season, and the funny thing is, they’d always hope for a better outcome even when they already knew that their team already lost. It’s memories like these that Al Hartman cherishes about his childhood.

For the longest time, Al had to be content with watching the games on TV since his job almost always required him to work even on weekends. Watching the games at home wasn’t so bad because it gave him the opportunity to bond with his kids, much like the way he and his father bonded over games when he was growing up. Now that he’s retired however, Al Hartman is grateful for the opportunity to watch live games on the bleachers once again. And with plenty of free time in his hands, Al also decided to share his love for his favorite teams to the public; strangers who share a common passion for sports, through this site.

Since this site is dedicated to Bay Area sports, particularly his favorite teams, there are only four other pages (apart from this landing page) that he decided to include here, to give him more time to focus on each of his teams. So, for the reader’s reference, this site includes the following pages: Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and a Blog page where Al Hartman will be sharing his thoughts and opinions about specific games. The Blog page is where readers might want to stay tuned in as well because this is where Al will also be sharing blow-by-blow accounts of live games as they happen.

It would be fun if everyone can pitch in too, about their personal takes on games, players, and coaches, and the teams’ chances of making the playoffs, and winning another championship title. Al looks forward to hearing from his readers!

Since this site is still in the development stage, Al Hartman deemed it best to give readers a brief background on the teams that he’s included on this site—for the sake of new fans and of course, for the long-time fans, too.

To learn about the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers, Al Hartman invites you to visit their respective pages on this site. If you’d like to add something, perhaps an interesting tidbit or personal anecdote about your encounters with the team, Al would be more than happy to hear about it! Please feel free to share your trivia and tidbits with him and the rest of the readers!
